The Client
Allegis, based at 130 Pitt Street in Sydney’s CBD, is a global talent solutions firm known for its high-performance workplace environments and commitment to providing employee-focused, collaborative office spaces. As part of a broader workspace enhancement, Allegis engaged Executive Interiors + Projects, a specialist commercial fitout builder, to deliver a premium refurbishment of their Level 10 office.
Allegis appointed AE Smith as the mechanical services subcontractor, continuing a long-standing partnership with Executive Interiors who are known for seamless coordination, technical expertise, and consistent delivery across complex fitout environments. AE Smith has a long-standing relationship with Allegis & Executive Interiors, regularly supporting their fitout works with mechanical and HVAC services. This trusted partnership ensures alignment on timelines, quality standards, and project coordination across complex environments.
What we achieved with our Customer
AE Smith delivered the full mechanical services package for Allegis’ Level 10 office upgrade, working closely with Executive Interiors + Projects to ensure the system aligned with the project’s architectural and operational requirements.
The mechanical scope included:
- Installation of new ductwork, condenser water pipework, grilles, and water-cooled packaged units
- Detailed commissioning of all mechanical services
- Careful integration with the building’s pre-existing HVAC systems, requiring precise planning and coordination
Given the site access limitations and noise constraints, AE Smith carefully sequenced works outside regular business hours to avoid disruption. Our team also worked closely with the design consultants to finalise a mechanical solution that aligned with the project’s high-end architectural requirements.
Throughout the project, AE Smith maintained constant coordination with multiple trades and stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and program compliance. Complexities arising from the existing HVAC layout were resolved through hands-on collaboration and technical ingenuity, allowing the final system to integrate without issue. Extensive stakeholder coordination helped meet the tight program, while the complex system integration set a benchmark for future works within the building.
The project was delivered on time and on budget, with the client highlighting both the smooth coordination and the polished final result. This successful outcome has produced a seamless final result that supports Allegis’ workplace requirements while setting a strong benchmark for future works within the building, reinforcing the strength of our relationship.
