To be considered you need:

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology - Electrician
• Experience in Commercial Service and Maintenance
• Experience in defence (preferred)

To be considered you need:

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology - Electrician
• 5+ years in a Team Leader or Supervisor role
• 5+ years post trade experience in Commercial Service and Maintenance
• Experience dealing with sub-contractors and blue-chip clients

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Planning and Sub Contrator Coordination:

• Maintain schedules and timelines issued by our Service Delivery Manager
• Coordinate with our subcontractors and client/builder inc internal/external engineers.
• Allocate resources effectively to ensure timely project completion.

Site Supervision:

• Oversee the maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
• Inspect and verify the quality of workmanship.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Quality Control:

• Conduct regular quality inspections.
• Follow AE Smith quality control measures to prevent defects and errors.
• Document and report on quality assurance activities.
• Monitor and control risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):

• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and standards.
• Using RAPID Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and emergency response plans.

Due to our continued growth we have an opportunity for an experienced General Manager to lead our Queensland offices (Brisbane, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsvile, Cairns).

The Role

The General Manager QLD is a pivotal leadership role within AE Smith, overseeing a $40m service business comprising Mechanical and Electrical services. The role is responsible for strategic growth, operational excellence, and cultivating strong customer relationships. This individual will ensure that projects and services are delivered to the highest safety and quality standards while driving team development and fostering a high-performance culture.

Day to days will vary but will include:

• Drive customer account management and relationship growth
• Develop key resources and foster a winning, high-performance culture
• Ensure Projects and Services meet our delivery management, safety, and quality standards
• Develop and implement streamlined, efficient business processes across all regions
• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce errors
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements and contract obligations
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and professional development for operational support teams.

Must Haves

• Proven experience leading a complex business in the building services or related sector
• Strong track record of delivering results and managing relationships with high-profile customers
• A Leader who embodies AE Smith's values of professionalism, trust, relaibility & excellence
• MBA or equivalent leadership training would be advantageous
