Turning Waste into Results: 95% of Materials Recycled at Bunnings Castle Hill

CASTLE HILL, NEW SOUTH WALES.

At Nuvo, sustainability isn’t just a goal — it’s a guiding principle. Our recent lighting upgrade at Charter Hall’s Bunnings Castle Hill car park demonstrates how we’re putting that commitment into action.

Across three weeks in July, our Electrical team worked to improve lighting across two levels of the busy facility. Every step of the project was designed with safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility in mind. The results speak volumes:

• 95% of materials recycled, including over 1,250kg of hard plastics, metals, LED batteries, and fluorescent tubes

• Only 60kg of waste sent to landfill

This effort was proudly recognised with two recycling certificates from Ecocycle, acknowledging the team’s outstanding commitment to sustainable waste management.

This project is a powerful example of how collaboration and a shared purpose can lead to smarter, more sustainable outcomes — for our clients, our communities, and the environment.
