What we achieved with our customer

Downer is responsible for maintenance, repair and upgrade of all HVAC, refrigeration and Essential Services assets across the Campuses, performing planned and reactive maintenance coupled with any requirement for end of life asset upgrades. Our team is also responsible for critical assets & system (PC2/PC3) which covers chemical & biological testing labs. These facilities are world class and renowned laboratory’s, recently working on Covid and other biological cures.

Critical to the success of the relationship, was our stakeholder engagement, resulting in the development of our support functions from an operational perspective. This enabled the delivery of improved level of administrative control, management of critical assets via third party providers and ultimately engaging the customer with significantly improved level of communication.

During our initial term we were engaged to develop a full fire matrix across all Universities facilities, which covered over 40 buildings through-out the campus. A critical project for the university covering which was completed in 2019.

Our initial contractual coverage and scope for the University of NSW was maintenance and reactive works for the Part A of the campus. Through this tenure, we have received recognition associated with our performance, safety and equally critical our communication.

As a result of our exceptional levels of service, the University recently awarded Downer with Part B of the campus. This essentially triples the original contractual size of the original maintenance contract with University of NSW. This is a testament to the team for the delivery of performance, governance, safety and communication, was the feedback received via the Estate Management team.
