The Client

Australia’s first fully integrated harbourside convention, exhibition and entertainment venue.

The ICC is a state-of-the-art 250,000 sqm event space in one of the city’s most vibrant and central precincts: Darling Harbour. It comprises three gorgeous award-winning buildings, housing a convention centre, an exhibition space and the award-winning Aware Super Theatre. Seeing an event or attending an exhibition at this world class venue is without a doubt one a must when living or visiting Sydney.

The Aware Super Theatre is an 8,000-seat theatre and convention space, boasting advanced audio-visual equipment and cutting-edge acoustic design. Just three months after its opening, it was recognised by Pollstar as one of the world’s highest performing theatres, and it’s won several other prestigious awards since then.

What we achieved with our Customer

With a 25 year contractual commitment, over 14,000 Audio and Digital assets through-out the venue and post Covid event calendar full, ICC has delivered 172 events, whilst attracting 336,000 visitors, in just 5 months! Our Team which provide both preventative maintenance and reactive works, through a strong abatement routine and challenging response KPI’s, has been delivering exceptional service through superior stakeholder engagement and innovative operational practices.

With a foot print of 250,000 sqm, full time coverage from 7 am to 7 pm, 7 days a week, the team have worked closely with the ICC to develop proactive measures to ensure abatement routines where avoided (30 min response time requirements). Equally critical is the complexity associated with the asset life cycle of approximately 5 years due to technological advancements within the industry.

Our teams develop a combination of proactive monitoring practices, superior track & trace / Auditing tools and improved level of stakeholder engagement to ensure assets are fit for purpose before events occur.

Weekly planning routines coupled with iAudit practices have ensured virtually zero impacts to the key venues occurring at ICC.

With the philosophy of measuring preventative as a KRA, not reactive maintenance, the team has developed and initiated a bespoke monitoring systems which enables proactive diagnostic and alert systems which has greatly reduced reactive calls from several thousand per month down to almost single digits.

This coupled with weekly routines, Monthly audit practices put in place and forward planning, innovative and technological stakeholder meetings, has resulted in addressing short asset lifecycle times, stringent abatement routines, all culminating in only a single abatement impact over the last six (6) years.
