Envar Sponsors AIRAH Event on Security of Payment Act

Envar was proud to sponsor the AIRAH industry event on Monday, 27 October, which focused on The New Building & Construction Security of Payment Act (WA) 2021 — an important piece of legislation designed to improve payment practices and strengthen transparency across Western Australia’s building and construction industry.

The session featured a presentation by Laura McMahon Higgins, who provided an insightful overview of the Act, outlining both its intent and practical implications for contractors, consultants, and clients. Her talk explored key areas such as payment claim requirements, adjudication processes, and the broader impact of the legislation on project delivery and industry relationships.
